Poster Analysis- The Others

This poster is about a psychological thriller called 'The Others' starring Nicole Kidman, The only colours in this poster consist of yellow, orange and black, the orange, yellow glow of the lamp which the woman is holding in her hand is the only source of light, it only lights one side of her face and the rest of the poster is filled with black. The darkness of the poster could also suggest hoe the film has dark connotations to it.

Nicole Kidman is looking to her leftm this suggest to the audience that she is wary of someone there, the way she is hunching her shoulders would also suggest to the audience that she is fearful of something, almost gasping.
